Expandit is the worlds premier manhole to manhole sewer pipe bursting system. The Expandit head (or “mole”) is the heart of the system - it expands & contracts radially to burst the existing pipe & leave an annulus in which to push the new product pipe.
The hydraulic 12 tonne winch is located at the reception manhole, and provides a guiding service for the pipe bursting head, to ensure a great line.
Power delivery is via a pair of low-emission hydraulic power packs, delivering 3,500 psi. These power packs drive the whole system.
The hydraulic ram is the force behind the pipe-string; it is located in the launch manhole and pushes the whole rehab system & new pipe from A-B
A pair of control panels (1 * single & 1 * double) control the whole system, from pushing & bursting pressures, to the monitoring of surrounding ground. |

The final product pipe can be a variety of materials, to suit the prevailing site status. The more common types of materials are polyethylene, clayware, concrete & GRP.
